Glastonbury Highlights

Friday 24th June 2011 sees the start of the Glastonbury Festival, This year the headline acts are U2, Coldplay and Beyonce and Judging from the photos I’ve seen so far it looks very muddy again, after a heavy downpour on Wednesday night. Still it looks like a great line-up this year. To get you in the mood here are a couple of highlights from previous years festivals

Wimbledon 2011

Monday 20th June marks the start of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament, and as a write this Jelena Dokic is winning her game 3-0, but losing the match 1-0 to Italy’s Francesca Schiavone, and Tomas Berdych has just beaten Filippo Volandri 3 – 0 (His girlfriend Lucie Safarova looks really gorgeous too, however I digress). Anyway back to the tennis and Daniel Cox is also currently playing Sergiy Stakhovsky, and subsequently got beaten

The Anniversary Man by RJ Ellory

I would like to read this Exciting crime thriller again. It Features a chap named John Costello, who is called upon to investigate a recent spate of seemingly random and unrelated murders.

His dark knowledge of the way in which serial killers operate stems from the fact that years ago he and his beautiful girlfriend, Nadia, became victims of the deranged ‘Hammer of God’ killer who terrorised New Jersey throughout the summer of 1984, and went around targetting young courting couples in an attempt to ‘save their souls’.

John survived, but was physically and psychologically scarred to an extent that few people could comprehend, consequently he withdrew from society, and now only emerges to work as a crime researcher for a major newspaper. However, he soon finds out that tracking down a serial killer is fraught with danger and could even threaten his life…
