To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of what is Widely regarded as the best film of all-time, Orson Welles classic 20th century cenematic masterpiece Citizen Kane is being released on Blu-Ray on Tuesday 13th September with a host of extras

Written by Orson Welles and Herman J. Mankiewicz, and Starring Welles and Joseph Cotton, It follows the story of a chap named Charles Foster Kane, who is taken from his Mother at an early age and made the ward of a rich industrialist. Kane soon grows up to be a wealthy  and powerful newspaper tycoon, who builds up a wealthy empire, but despite this success, he still feels that there is still something missing in his life.

It seems that being taken from his Mother at such a tender age has damaged him in some way and every well-meaning or tyrannical or self-destructive move he makes from then on appears in some way to be connected to that one event.

The film is thought to be Loosely based on real media mogul William Randolph Hearst, although neither Hearst or Welles himself ever confirmed this.
