Euro 2012 Final

the Euro 2012 final took place on Sunday 2nd July in Kiev between Spain and Italy after Spain won the first Euro 2012 semi-final in Donetsk  4:2 on penalties and Italy Defeated Germany 2:1 in the second Semi-Final at the the National Stadium in Warsaw curtesy of Balotelli who scored after 10 minutes, and again after 35 minutes. Ozil also scored for Germany but sadly it is wasnt enough.

So Italy got through to meet Spain in the Euro 2012 final which took place in Kiev and by Half-Time Spain had built up a 2 Goal lead courtesy of David Silva after fourteen minutes and Jordi Alba after forty-one minutes. Fernando Torres and Mata both scored  during the Second Half making it 4:0 to Spain. Pique also attempted to score during extra time for Spain but was just wide.

Happy Birthday Deborah “Debbie” Harry

Debbie Harry American singer with the band Blondie was born 1st July 1945. founded by singer Deborah Harry and guitarist Chris Stein, Blondie were pioneers in the early American New Wave and punk scenes of the mid-1970s. Their first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next three years, the band achieved several hit singles including “Call Me“, “Atomic” and  Heart of Glass 

and became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles incorporating elements of disco, pop, rap, and reggae, while retaining a basic style as a New Wave band.   Blondie broke up after the release of their sixth studio album The Hunter in 1982. Deborah Harry continued to pursue a solo career with varied results after taking a few years off to care for partner Chris Stein, who was diagnosed with pemphigus, a rare autoimmune disease of the skin.   The band reformed in 1997, achieving renewed success and a number one single in the United Kingdom with “Maria” in 1999. The group toured and performed throughout the world during the following years, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Blondie has sold 40 million records worldwide and is still active today. Their ninth studio album, Panic of Girls, was released in 2011
