The 31st Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival takes place between Friday Aug 22nd and Sunday 31 August 2014, throughout the Bridgnorth District, and I am really looking forward to going. During the event the whole town comes alive with a music stage, a High Street Vintage market from Blondie’s Vintage Events, Bridgnorth Children’s Festival – which has zones right across town for all ages and a Food Fair which has great bites and drink to sample on the south side of the town hall.
Entertainment for Friday 22 August kicks off with the Bridgnorth Photography Festival Award 2014 Exhibition at the BamBoo Wine Bar followed by Rhi Moore performing at theBamBoo Wine Bar. Elsewhere Diamond Geezers play The Bell & Talbot at 9pm, Graham Clewes performs at The George at 9pm, Michaela Wylde plays At the Black Boy and Karen Pfeiffer & Paul Walker perform at The Friars at 9:30pm.
The main Entertainment for Saturday 23 August moves down to theEdgar Davis Rugby Ground on Severn Park between 11:30am and 6:00pm, with performances from Young Braves, Matthew Hill, Stolen Comfort, Juke Joint John, Twisted Species, Charlie Grass, Of Kings and Captains, Nerve Noise, Butterfly Stone (who are splendidly noisy), Dan Williams And Reuben Archers Personal Sin. This is followed by an evening performance between 7:30pm and 10:00 pm by Darkside performing Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon (I am so looking forward to that)
Elsewhere in town on 0n Saturday 23 August there is a Short Film Festival at The Majestic Cinema, Bridgnorth, Kev and Dave are performing at The Kings head and Stable Bar, later on Clear Vinyl are also performing at The Kings head and Stable Bar. elsewhere Sarah Raymond is performing at The Bell & Talbot, Midset Buka are performing at The George, Paper Wing are performing at the BamBoo Wine Bar,The Fortunate Sons are performing at The Black Boy And The New Ruffians are performing at The Friars Inn.
On Sunday 24 August, the action moves to Bridgnorth High Street, and starting from 12:00pm Synergy will perform on the High Street Stage, followed by an eclectic line up which includes Astrid’sTea Party, the Rainbreakers, thom and Crisbee, Rhino and theRanters and culminating in a Headlining set by Miles Hunt and Erica from the Wonderstuff. Elsewhere at the other end of the High Street there are acoustic performers Pandora’s Puppets, Padge, Elliot Wray, Millie Gough and Andy Mi. Meanwhile The Bridgnorth Photography Festival Award 2014 Exhibition continues at the BamBoo Wine Bar, Bridgnorth Children’s festival is taking place all around the town, there is also Food Fair in Bridgnorth High Street.
Later on Electric Garden Party will be playing The King’s Head and Stable Bar , Nikki Rous will be performing at the BamBoo Wine Bar, Richie Evans will be playing at The Friars Inn, Thomson Oldeman and Friends will be performing atThe Old Castle, there is an Open Mic at The Bell & Talbot, Cooper and Davies are performing at The George And there is an Electro Swing night with Jake Sinclair at The Black Boy.
on Bank holiday Monday 25 August there will be an eclectic line up of performances from 12:00pm at the Quayside by the River Severn. Elsewhere in town Bluze Box will be on the Terrace at The George, Matt Johnson will be performing at BamBoo Wine Bar and Reign of Kings will be performing at The George from 9:00pm.
