Bridgnorth Vintage Machinery Club have been in Bridgnorth since 1986 and have hosted a number of events including the annual Shropshire National Vintage Tractor Road Run (well it’s more of a leisurely trundle) in aid of the Shropshire Air Ambulance. Which this year took place on Sunday 22 March. Starting and finishing at Alveley Social Club, the convoy visited Morville, Much Wenlock, Broseley, went through Bridgnorth high Street, before stopping at Severn Park and returning to Alveley Social Club. This year it involved a convoy of around 100 vintage tractors, from all over the Bridgnorth District. Bridgnorth Vintage Machinery Club will also be present at this years Rally in The Valley plus many other events.
There was also a Continental Food Market in Bridgnorth High Street, selling all kinds of continental produce including Dried fruits, Baklava, Specialty Breads including French Loaves, Pitta Bread, Barra Brith, Panini, Naan and Malt Loafs. There was also a variety of continental Cured Meats on Sale including Bratwurst, Knockwurst, Pastrami and Honey Roast Ham. A wide selection of continental cheeses were also available including Brie, Camembert, Edam, Gouda, Shropshire Blue and Manchego. Those with a sweet tooth were also well catered for with a wide selection of confectionary including Home made fudge, sweets, toffee and vanilla fudge. There was also a wide range of preservatives available including specialty mustards, pickles, Honeys and Jams. There was also a Market in the High Street selling all sorts of Hand-made Arts and crafts including Paintings, hand Made Jewellery, Hand-made Greeting Cards, Pottery, vintage wares and Artisan goods.
