Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala

The annual Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala takes place March 18-March 19-March 20 2016. This years visiting locomotives include:

  • No. 6412 – former Great Western Railway Auto-fitted Pannier Tank, With thanks to the South Devon Railway
  • No. 6430 – former Great Western Railway Auto-fitted Pannier Tank, With thanks to Hugh Shipton & Llangollen Railway
  • No. 6990 Witherslack Hall – former Great Western Railway ‘Hall’ 4-6-0, Courtesy of the David Clarke Railway Trust & Great Central Railway
  • No. 4 Edward Thomas – Talyllyn Railway narrow gauge locomotivE, courtesy of the Talyllyn Railway which will be running at the Engine House in Highley.

The fantastic selection of visiting locomotives will be supported by members of our home fleet, including: No. 1450, No. 1501, No. 2857, No. 4566, No. 7802 Bradley Manor, No. 7812 Erlestoke Manor, No. 34027 Taw Valley, No. 34053 Sir Keith Park and No. 43106. Other Attractions will include:

Autotrains with No. 1450, No. 6412 and No. 6430.
No. 4 Edward Thomas on display in steam on a temporary running line at The Engine House, Highley.
Double-headed combinations, including; Pannier and Prairie and Pannier and Pannier.
Local trains to-ing and fro-ing between Stations.
Goods trains.
